I am very fortunate to be able to run my watercolour painting days in two special venues, which are both inspirational places.
The lovely Barnsdale Gardens (near Oakham, Rutland) where each of the beautiful themed
gardens created by Geoff Hamilton for the BBC Gardener’s World programmes is still in existence
to be enjoyed and provide many wonderful floral subjects and garden corners.
Also the impressive Burghley House
(Stamford, Lincolnshire), which is known as the
largest and grandest house of the Elizabethan age.
Here there are the wonderful, grand aspects of
the building and the more modest but absolutely
enchanting old stone cottages in the Courtyard,
with their pretty pots and hanging baskets.
Beautiful settings make each of these days a very
enjoyable experience. The classes are relaxed, informal and friendly.
I hope that you will find them very informative and crammed with useful tips and techniques!
These courses are suitable for everyone, from the more experienced artist to the absolute beginner, as I give lots of individual help and encouragement where needed.
